Our Purpose

What is our purpose? After a certain age, we seem to stop trying to find a deeper, mystical meaning and settle for locality— our family, friends, job or career... we believe these things make us and when we die, we might have a chance at life.

But what if I told you that you were here for a much Higher Purpose? One that goes beyond physical identity and social status? One that is deeply engraved in our DNA, in our psyches, and our hearts?
What if it’s a spiritual purpose? One that defies the odds and requires commitment, discernment, and more faith than you thought possible?

What if I said God is real and He is part of the picture; Your picture— a reminder of whence you came.

I believe that we are more than mortals. I believe we are more than our bodies and our legacies. I believe we are meant to do good— but this does not mean "good" in the sense of the word we’ve been trained to regard. It is not charity, fighting oppression, nor vengeance— for the first satisfies the ego; the second creates a new class of oppressors, and the third— well, the third signifies an embodiment of darkness... for vengeance is His, alone.

Romans 12:2 ESV

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

So what is "good"? This "will of God"?

To fully understand what ‘the will of God’ is, we must take into account the story of Lucifer:

Lucifer, "Light Bringer," rebelled against the laws of God, thus he rebelled against God Himself. Desiring independence from God's legislation, he tried to depose God and become the sovereign ruler of the universe. Great chaos and destruction resulted among the heavenly bodies and on earth (Genesis 1:2) when God "cast [him] as a profane thing out of the mountain of God" (Ezekiel 28:16).

God’s plan or ‘simulation’ has yet to be realized because humanity decided to fall from grace and "be like the gods," or so the serpent claimed to Eve (this story will come later). Eating of the fruit of ”good and evil" when it was forbidden indicates that a ‘program’ has overwritten the original. Like a game a computer runs, this new, dominant program had its own rules, plots, and purpose built into it as a series of ‘scripts.’ This new game has a main plot and variety of subplots. It is not only up to us to discover what these are, but to enact and maneuver in a way that leads us to our goal. So, what is our goal? And what’s this game even about?

To fully understand this platform, we must acknowledge that We have endless lives (DNA/memory inheritance; ancestor programs) but our play time is limited or finite... it has a beginning and an end. The game has been played on loop, but there is a window of time for passage. To play this game is to play in its entirety.

Back story:

How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God [angels]; I will also sit [rule] on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north [God's government]; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High." Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit. (Isaiah 14:12-15)

Main objective: to discern between "good and evil" and choose "Good"
Sub plots: to purify ourselves through atonement
Challenge: to convince the rest of the world that we’re fallen (we’re playing a game within a game and get them to skillfully play the game in order to beat it )
Goal: return to innocence; the Source of creation, God
